A dedicated cyclist from Hampshire, United Kingdom, Kevin, is joining us this month to dive into his passion for road cycling and unbelievable cycling tales, and how using Steadyrack has transformed his bike storage setup. 

Kevin's journey into cycling started as an extra form of training for his position in the England Masters hockey, but he soon realised that his love for cycling was much stronger than he anticipated. After participating in the Ride London Event and getting a taste of the European mountains in the 2015 Etape De Tour, Kevin was hooked.

Kevin also discovered the 7-day amateur stage race through the French Alps, the Haute Route Alps, in 2021. The event covered 804 kilometres and 20,000 metres of climbing which was nothing like he had experienced before. It was a traffic stopping event involving professional support teams and unbelievable scenery; a cyclist's dream come true! 

"The scenery was out of this world and has to be seen to be believed."

Kevin did his first Individual Time Trial (ITT) up Alp D'Huez in France, following the footsteps of cycling legends. His aim was to finish and have a time in General Classification, which he was successful in completing. Since then, Kevin has found himself cycling through the Italian Dolomites, Ventoux, and Pyrenees in a number of events with Haute Route, ranging from three to five day days. These events have fuelled his love for cycling.

"All you need to do is eat, sleep, and cycle for seven days. I loved the event."

With a collection of nine bikes, Kevin has four Steadyrack Classic Racks installed in his garage to store his most prized possessions. This has saved him valuable space in his garage, giving him peace of mind that his bikes are out of harms way.
